just a quick post about how I hand print some of my illustrations. What I’m showing you here are two new postcards, drawn and printed by me in my tiny studio at the lake.
Everything starts with a quick pencil sketch, after I refine that I transfer it on my carving block (here I used two slightly different materials) and that the carving part starts. I love carving my designs. It can be a long process, but the satisfaction is huge. Sometimes it’s a bit frustrating when the result is not how you imagined it. Sometimes I fail, but I always enjoy it.
