new linen scarves and about buying less & better

I’ve just updated my shop with two different hand printed linen scarves. These are made out of the most beautiful Italian linen I got my hands on in 2 different colours: pale pink and dusty brown. I hand printed (block printed) them using black non toxic ink using my own illustrations based on the botanical world that I love so much.

Making these scarves was a beautiful project, I’ve enjoyed it a lot and I really hope you like them too. I’ve made only 8 of these (4 in each colour/pattern) but then I kept a brown one for me, I couldn’t resist! I love the way the linen softens with use and I know I’ll cherish it for a long time.

A few years ago I’ve decided to only buy second hand, handmade or sustainable clothes and accessories. It hasn’t been simple at first, but I’m really happy I sticked to my plan, it made me learn sewing and ultimately I’m a happier person. I would love to know your ideas about this topic and if you do something similar how does it work for you? Any links to patterns, indie shops or more to share here with me? I’m going to compile a list and share it here soon.

P.S. I’m offering free shipping in both my shops (here and on Etsy) when you spend at least 20euro, use code FREESHIPPINGSUMER, offer lasts until Saturday 5th, Sept.

I also have a bunch of hand printed postcards on sale to make space for new ones here.
